Thannksgiving weekend again this year is when book lovers can try to set aside time to spend with those most important objects in their lives -- their TBR mountains. The details and updates of other readers are here at Jenn's Bookshelves, while BethFishReads has a fun mini-challenge in place on Saturday: What do your shelves or TBR stacks look like?
Here's a view of my living room where the non-fiction section resides. Down the hallway are European and Asian, Canadian and American fiction. In the distance are the beginning of the crime fiction section. The UK fiction section is actually behind where I stood to take the photo.
What's in your reading plans this weekend? I'll post more on that later...
Nice shot! We can really get a sense of your library. We have shelves running along the hallways too!
ReplyDeleteHallways are essential! There are more bookcases upstairs (even short ones in the closet) and out in the garage, but these are the manageable ones. Fun mini-challenge idea.
ReplyDeleteI only posted pictures of my to-be-read shelf! These bookhselves are great. You always know when you walk into the house of a book lover - you're surrounded!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had enough space in my hallways to add bookshelves! That is clearly space that isn't optimized in my house!
ReplyDeleteCool how you have your books arranged!
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed, all your shelves are arranged! I am starting to miss mine now. :(
ReplyDeleteMy TBR Shelf?
You're much more organized than I am! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!
Alison, loved your bookshelves. You've got the makings of a great reading spot.
ReplyDeleteJenn, if I had that gorgeous new furniture, it would be covered in books by now!
Nise', SenoraG, Alison, they're arranged only so I can go to the right shelf depending on my reading mood. Really. Truly.
I love the shelves in the hallway! I'm thinking about doing that eventually too!
ReplyDeleteMandy, the hallway bookcases have worked out well for traffic. Not even my 6-foot-4 son knocks books over (often).
