As inspired by Fobbit author David Abrams at The Quivering Pen, the best sentence(s) I read this week, presented without further commentary:
What I loved most was how the contents of each batch of books mixed up with one another in my mind to make ideas and images and thoughts I'd never have imagined possible.
-- Paul Harding, Enon
Love this AND I have ENON on my TBR pile!
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me both of his first, Tinkers, and of Marilynne Robinson: densely packed and heartfelt. And, like those books and The Woman Upstairs, I could fill a chapbook with quotations from Enon.
ReplyDeleteInteresting quote, kind of sparks the imagination!
ReplyDeleteThere were four solid Sunday Sentence contenders in the opening pages alone.
DeleteI really like this quote... glad I have Enon waiting on my shelf!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to talking about this one.
